SOLOMON MUJURU'S DEATH REMAINS A MYSTERY

                        

What truly caused the death of Retired General Solomon Mujuru remains an issue of important national inquiry. And the most pertinent question is who killed Mujuru? Who were his number 1 enemies? Baba Jukwa posted on social networks that "Some of us who are in the know find it difficult to suppress that information and it is high time the truth has to come out" Jukwa gives a piece of information about the events leading to Mujuru's death. A million dollar question is, was Mujuru really trying to over throw the President and did the President respond "accordingly" when this information was given to him? Can we say that Mnangagwa played a vital role in the elimination of the retired General? Food for thought. Solomon Mujuru, Zimbabwean's most prominent war hero and husband to the current Vice President of Zimbabwe Joyce Mujuru died on the 16th of August 2011. A normal citizen can argue that Mujuru was assassinated and by whom remains a mystery. Baba Jukwa an unknown person on the social media is believed to be a close ally of Zanu pf and claims to have inside information on the day to day running of the Zanu pf political party. Jukwa gave a controversial and interesting piece of information on how Mnangagwa fueled the elimination of Mujuru. Is he guilty as charged? If so was he involved in the entire planning of the assassination. Did rivals fear the power possessed by the two? Noticeable is that, Solomon Mujuru played a vital role in elevating his wife to the Vice President post. As such the combined power of the Mujurus could have totally eliminated the other faction.Therefore, one can argue that his elimination was planned so as to weaken the position of Joyce Mujuru in succeeding the Presidential seat. Notably is that, this anonymous source Baba Jukwa who claims to have insight information on Zanu pf had rumored that he will close his facebook page and how reliable is he or the information that he gave concerning the death of Mujuru. He seems to be pointing fingers to a few individuals in the party, what if he was involved and he is also as guilty as those that he claims are responsible.

Jukwa has exposed the hand behind the murder of retired Defense Forces Commander; General He says that the liberation war icon, Mujuru, and Mugabe's briefcase-man, Emmerson Mnangagwa, met to resolve the ZANU (PF) succession dilemma as President Robert Mugabe was reluctant to vacate the Presidential office. Baba Jukwa, who has proved to be knowledgeable about internal goings-on in Zanu (PF), alleged that Mujuru had met Mnangagwa at his Tynwald Farm and proposed that they bury the rumor that he and Mnangagwa were sworn enemies who were dragging Zanu (PF) party into extinction because of their jostling for power.
 General Mujuru and Mnangagwa agreed to go and meet President Mugabe and tell him to step down during the period of the inclusive government, and leave one of them as the leader of the party and the country. Mujuru did not care who would be President as long as he was First-Vice President. The General is claimed to have even said that the two of them could revive the fortunes of the party to 1980 levels and that President Mugabe was now a liability.  The two agreed Mnangagwa would set up the meeting with President Mugabe. Unbeknown to Mujuru, Mnangagwa went and told Mugabe that Mujuru was a traitor and that he wanted to set up a sting where Mujuru would be recorded by the intelligence and dealt with in the usual way. At the meeting, tape-recorders running, Mujuru told Mugabe that his leadership was now a liability and that he should step down, which Mujuru felt he had every right to do since he was singularly responsible for enabling Mugabe to take control of Zanla in the post 1974 era when Zanla had become a military force unto itself without the leadership of the incarcerated Zanu (PF) leadership. According to Baba Jukwa President Mugabe was already angry at Mujuru for spearheading the formation of the Mavambo Kusile Dawn political party and that he encouraged Simba Makoni and Dumiso Dabengwa to rebel against him, and about being misinformed in the run-up to the 2008 elections that all was rosy, when in fact underground some intelligence officers were on the ground campaigning for Makoni.  Mugabe, Mnangagwa and the CIO then planned the mission to murder Mujuru without any suspicion, so the General was told that they would conclude the matter as soon as the President returned from the SADC Luanda Summit. Three Lebanese assassins based in South Africa were brought in to eliminate the General while Mugabe was at the Summit and beyond the finger of suspicion. While he was there, a senior army general was tasked with working with the CIO through a protégé of Menard Muzariri (former deputy DG of the CIO) – who brought in his three Lebanese assassins based in South Africa to accomplish the mission to eliminate the General. The day after their arrival at the Summit, news of the General’s death was all over the world. This is Baba Jukwa’s version of the events that led to the death of Solomon Mujuru.

Mujuru was a brave man who managed to oppose the President on issues of paramount importance concerning national security. It can also be said that he was a threat to the presidential seat.The statement  “Dealt with the usual way” really captured my attention. Like I said everything happens behind the scenes. What meaning can be deduced from this statement “dealt with the usual way’? What is the usual way of dealing with people who seem to be opposing the ruling party? Was Mujuru dealt with the usual way? A normal citizen can see that Mujuru’s death was no accident, it was planned and it was a murder. It is said that Mujuru died in a fire that consumed his farm house. How convenient is that? If Mujuru was eliminated by these Lebanesse assassins, it becomes clear to all of us that the fire was set up to prevent suspicions.How could a trained army General fail to escape the fire? A liberation hero who ducked the bullets in the liberation struggle certainly cannot die in a mere candle fire

His death is still a mystery and there are a lot of unanswered question as to how the fire started to an extent of claiming his life.His wife also stated that her husband could have escaped through a window from their bedroom because it is not secured by burglar bars. It is very true that there was a foul play on his death.

My friends always advise me on avoiding such matters because I will end up "disappearing." disappearing to where I ask? As confusing and farfetched as it may sound, my answer is that you will disappear to a place behind the scenes where things are solved. Things cannot be solved in front of the prying eyes of normal folk, but behind the scenes.

In my nation, Zimbabwe, nothing ever happens the way normal things happen and as a normal citizen who is as patriotic as the next I tend to wonder how things are run. Yes, I'm quite sure that  everyone actually wonders hows certain things happen and the answer to that is, everything happens behind the scenes. We are manipulated and made to see things in a way they do not appear.

 There has been debate, or rather confusion on the health state of the president. a rumor somehow spread that he is not in good health. Social networks like Facebook have been buzzing with the likes of Baba Jukwa stating that the president is not well and the president's spokes person begging to differ. Media have failed to come up with recent pictures or videos to actually show that the president is well. The president himself has even failed to call a press statement to prove otherwise.

Well, i can conclude and say that the president is not in good health. However It is normal for the people to question when their leader is not feeling up to weather because it is "their" leader after all. Questions may rise within the people that how can a sick leader run a nation? This then makes it an important factor for the people to be constantly kept up to date about the state of their leader, especially in times like these when there are circulating rumors.

It is clear that something is definitely happening at the president's. How would you explain his sudden disappearance from the picture for such a long time, and to make matters worse his arrival from Singapore was never covered, no recent pictures where seen. The status-quo was and has been that when the president arrives from his holiday, he is covered by the media, pictures and videos are seen. What happened this time? and that's when my suspicions alongside with everyone else's were raised.

However, the President got back to his feet and was seen at his sister's funeral (Beatrice Mugabe) who was in comma for the past three years. Beatrice Mugabe collapsed at Sabina's burial in 2010 and has been at Parirenyatwa hospital since then.  After the rumors Mugabe was seen at the funeral and this was the picture to prove that he is well.

Since Beatrice Mugabe's funeral, nothing has been said about the president neither has he addressed the public on any issues, as such this creates suspicions on the citizens about their well being of their leader. All of a sudden, directives are being given to the Harare City Council by the President. This is strange because we have not heard from the President for quite sometime and now directives are being coughed down from the President to the town clerk of the Harare City Council. The President is giving directives towards his daughters wedding that roads must be resurfaced and the Harare City Council must fund the project by US$1 million. And as the 21st February movement is just a few days away,will we see the President? Or rather on his daughter's wedding will he be there? The truth of the matter is that whatever happens behind the scenes will find its way of coming out.This time around the rumors will be destroyed for good as we shall see the President celebrating his 90th birthday and walking his daughter down the aisle.

BONA MUGABE TO WED ON THE 1ST OF MARCH 2014

BonaMugabe the first daughter of President Robert Mugabe will wed on the 1^st of March this year. Bona graduated in 2011, with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Accountancy Degree from the University of Chan Tai Ho Hall in Hong Kong, now she has obtained a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from the Management Institute of Singapore. The traditional wedding took place at her rural home in Zvimba last year. The President’s son-in-law has been identified as a member of the Zaoga church, Simba Chikore a Qatar Airways pilot. Chikore has paid US$35,000 and 15 heard of cattle in bride price. It is claimed that Bona has been unluck in relationships as she lost a boy friend a few years back in a car accident. The son to Oliver Mtukudzi, Sam Mtukudzi died in a horrific car accident that claimed his life. However, this relationship was not confirmed by the concerned or by their parents. It can be very uncomfortable to be a President’s daughter because every eye is upon you. Your private life can be made public by the media and mostly negative publicity. Bona’s husband-to-be was anonymous until the traditional wedding was done.

  This is the young couple that will be tying the knot early next month. Bona’s relationship with Chikore started two-years when she boarded a plane flying by Chikore on her way to Dubai. Not much history has been said about this young man to be the future son-in-law of the first family. Is this the ideal man for Bona? Will he able to look after the President’s daughter well, The first family is excited about these developments and the President has said that:”Bona has graduated with her Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance and she is now graduating into a family.” The first lady Amai Grace Mugabe confirmed that her daughter is still a virgin even though there were allegations that Bona was raped a few years back.  Amai took pride in revealing this information and she encouraged other women to raise their children in the same way she has. She said she had a heart to heart conversation with Chikore and she urged him to respect her daughter’s purity till their wedding. 

 

Following the wedding to be held at the President home, President Robert Mugabe’s Borrowdale Brooke mansion is undergoing renovations and construction wor k. The following pictures show some of the mansions rooms to undergo renovations. However, this mansion is as good as new and one can wonder what exactly needs to be renovated. It is normal for any parent who has a child who has achieved so much to go above the ordinary in making sure that their child’s day is a special one, but in this case where are the finances coming from? 

Does this mansion really need renovations? In an economic situation like this whereby Managers and CEO's of Government institutions are on a looting spree, the Presidents house undergoes renovations. The civil servants have not yet received their increment salaries and the country is experiencing an economic depression but millions of dollars are being used to renovate a house because of a wedding.

Sources close to the Mugabe residence said more than 10 trucks were hired from South Africa with equipment meant for the refurbishment of the mansion in the leafy suburb. Construction workers are busy making designs at the main gate and on the walls with some of the designs similar to those at the Chinese mall in Belvedere, Harare.

Building equipment had been offloaded outside the President’s house while containers loaded with more material were outside the house believed to be the venue of the wedding. Thousands of guests are expected to grace the occasion among them ministers, African leaders and friends of the First family. Bona’s wedding has been close to the Mugabe’s hearts with both her parents coming out in the open celebrating their daughter’s achievements.
